Happenings of Restoration Youth
What we have been learning lately:
As we have continued to talk about prayer on Wednesday nights, here are some questions you
can use to start some conversation with your kids and to hear how this series impacted them.
● How does prayer impact your relationship with God?
● How does prayer change you as a person?
● What things do you want to ask God for? Or to ask God about?

LatchKey Co-op & Other Summer Hang Out Events: Summer can be tricky especially with
parents working and teenagers being “too cool” for Day Camp programs. Jennifer Arroyo is
collecting contact information of families that would be interested in participating in a “Latchkey
Co-op”. This group would highlight public events or meet-ups in the neighborhood where teens
and pre-teens can participate. Examples are local library events, afternoons at Seacrest or
Fitzmorris Pool, biking the Ralston Creek trail. The objective is to alert parents to times and
locations when other youth group kids are hanging out. Please note, most of these events
would be unsupervised. Teens have the opportunity to engage in the community responsibly,
provide “safety in numbers” and take advantage of several of the great city resources in our
neighborhoods. Please email jennyarroyo@gmail.com if interested.
Lastly, if you have any questions, comments, feedback, or concerns, please let me know! You
can email me at this address or text me at 720-318-3446. Thank you for the opportunity to walk
alongside your kids.

Happenings of Restoration Youth
What we have been learning lately:
This past month we have been looking more into the practice of prayer and what it means for us and how it affects our lives. We wanted to continue to follow the theme of Sunday morning to have more conversation about prayer within our student community.
Here are some questions you can use to start some conversation with your kids and to hear how this series impacted them.
How would you explain prayer in your own words?
How does your view of God affect how you pray?
What makes it hard for you to pray?
Parent Involvement Opportunities:
Leader Meetings: Once a month, the youth leaders get together and have dinner. This monthly meeting is for two reasons. First, it is to keep leaders connected with each other to keep to our core value of community. Secondly, it is to make sure we are all on the same page for events in the coming months.
In the past we have asked parents to host these dinners to get to know leaders better and to be able to see behind the scenes. We would love to have more parents host these dinners. Hosting would look like providing dinner for the team and sharing dinner with us, then providing us space to meet in order to get some work done. And if you want to host but can't feed our whole team, we would love to use your space and I can provide dinner!
Thank you Mullikin family for Hosting the March Leader Dinner!
